Project Area ~ 4200 sqm
Materials: RCC, Brick.
Design by: Jainam M.
my design intent became to create a space that is more visible, more accessible and more inviting, standing at any location in the building in order to make the exhibitions set up on different floors more inviting. I took a reference from Frank Lloyd wright's Guggenheim Museum where he ties the entire program by a ramp that goes in a spiral. The atrium as the core of the museum, from where one can see the entirety of the interior.
Clay model of the ramps. The ramps are the heart of the design. One ramp comes out of the other from the portal created for looking down into the interior courtyard.
Design (in process) be such that the different programs of the museum happen around the ramp, syncing with the geometry of the ramps. All the ramps are 1:8. All risers are 150. The minimum tread of the staircases is 300. The elevator shaft is 300 thick RCC. The slabs are 150 thick. (In process...)
